墨西哥城

墨西哥城是一个高原城市，海拔7,380 feet (2,250 m)。这也是为什么中国和墨西哥之间的航班不能直飞，通常在Tijuana经停。

Templo Mayor

英文是Main Temple或the Greater Temple。《文明》里也称作Huey Teocalli。Teocalli在Nahuatl中表示God-house。是阶梯式的中美洲金字塔加上上面的神庙。

这里曾经是Mexica的首都城市Tenochtitlan。同时供奉Huitzilopochtli, 战争之神和 Tlaloc雨和农业之神。

Chapultepec Castle

城堡部分有英文，国家历史博物馆部分只有西语。

它在新西班牙时期是总督的夏天的住所；后来在墨西哥第二帝国时期成了Maximilian I的住所。后来的墨西哥总统也曾居住在此；1939年被改成了博物馆。

Teotihuacan 日月金字塔

日月金字塔并不是阿兹特克，更不是玛雅。Teotihuacan是在Aztec之前很久，日月金字塔是被阿兹特克发现的。 "City of gods"。

Museo del Axolote 蝾螈博物馆

Axolotl是一种蝾螈的名字，原本生活在墨西哥城所在区域的几个湖里（如Lake Xochimilco，Lake Chalco）。后来西班牙殖民者征服了阿兹特克，并把这些湖的水抽干，破坏了Axolotl的生活环境。

Axolotl这个词原指阿兹特克掌管火和闪电的神Xolotl，它把自己打扮成蝾螈的样子。是不是看着不像西班牙语的词？那是因为它是来自Nahuatl，阿兹特克人的纳瓦特尔语。

Zona Arqueológica de Tula

The main attraction is the Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl, which is topped by four 4-metre-high (13 ft) basalt columns carved in the shape of Toltec warriors. Tula fell around 1150, but it had significant influence in the following Aztec Empire, with its history written about heavily in myth.
